This past Saturday at open gym, we had a special guest stop by. St. Vincent St. Mary State-title winner and MAC Conference Champion, Jayvon Graves, visited Kenmore-Garfield High School! Jayvon is currently a Sophomore at the University of Buffalo where he plays basketball. As a Freshman last season, his Buffalo Bulls team won the MAC Championship and he led the MAC for most of the season in 3-point shooting percentage.
He delivered a wonderful message to our Kenmore-Garfield boys basketball players that included the importance of academics, having good character, listening to coaches and teachers, working hard, overcoming adversity, and striving for excellence on and off the court. We are humbled to have had Jayvon visit and we appreciate him and his mother for taking the time out to help make this happen!
Attached are pictures from the visit. As many positive influences we can share with all of our students can and will make a difference. Enjoy! #GORAMS #KGFamily
